Giacomo Fenocchio
Barolo Bussia DOCG 2006
Barolo Fenocchio is one of the great Italian red wines. 6 months in stainless steel tanks, 30 months in large capacity Slavonian oak casks (35-50 hl) and a successive maturation in the bottle.
“A cold winter, with plenty of snow, provided adequate moisture reserves during the spring and summer months. After hot and dry conditions in July and August, a little rain refreshed the vines in September and harvest began at the end of September or the first week October, neither early nor late. The consensus is that the 2006s are elegant, with high acidity, which made them it austere in their youth”
