A historic winery, born more than 200 years ago, born in the heart of the Langhe and protected by its hills. It was 1807 when the Marquis, Carlo Tancredi Falletti married Juliette Colbert, great-granddaughter of the then finance minister of the French King Louis XIV (also called the Sun King). It was she who believed in the quality of the wine produced in the lands of Barolo, which only after careful fermentation and long aging in wood could this become an austere, long-lasting wine and express all its qualities.
Aged 18 months in oak barrels. It has a garnet red color, an intense and persistent nose, tending, depending on the evolutionary state, to fruity and floral notes. In the mouth, the “hard” notes blend nicely with the “soft” ones, making Barolo a wine full of structure and character.
