Chianti Classico Riserva di Famiglia DOCG 2013

Celebrating 125 years of wine making, this is THE CHIANTI to trump them all. Grown in the heart of the Chianti region, in the hills of Castellina, this label represents the Cecchi family and the best of what they have to offer. Only the richest grapes grown in the region are used for this unique blend.

90% Sangiovese with 10% native grapes thrive on doughy alkaline soils at an altitude of 250m above sea level. Aged 12 months in a combination of barrique and tonneaux oak with a lengthy maceration of 15 days. The grapes develop very rich chewable tannins with a pleasant bright fruity personality which defines what real Chianti is all about.

An intense ruby red colour comes through with optimal clarity and excellent limpidity. The ample ethereal aroma reveal broad notes of ripe fruit, spices and toast.  The structure is concentrated and elegant.

Food Pairing: Meat; think Fiorentina, the epitome of Tuscan meats. Roasted or grilled red meat joints such as beef and lamb or the richer flavours of game.

This is Cecchi’s most valuable treasure. Perfect blend between nature and man. Enjoy it with your special people.
