Le Pergole Torte 50 ANNI Magnum 2013

50 ANNI (50 years) is the celebrative Magnum of Le Pergole Torte, only 1 bottle available. If you love Le Pergole Torte this is a must. Although it was the contents of the bottle that made it famous, it is undeniable that the artistic Pergole Torte label contributes to its attraction. Since 1982 Alberto Manfredi, a personal friend Sergio Manetti’s, has been drawing the woman’s face that has become the symbol of this wine. The Le Pergole Torte vineyard was planted in 1986, starting with an area of 2 hectares on a north-northeast facing slope. Made entirely from Sangiovese grapes, it is one of the mythical Tuscan wines, offering thrills with every sip. The old vintages have demonstrated an extraordinary aging capacity.

Brilliant Ruby Red. Elegant distinct scents of vanilla and violets, less decisive raspberry and bing cherries and a hint of cloves. A bit dry but soft, consistent and encompassing. A great balance of tannins reveals a complex range of flavors and an unusually long finish. Mature summer fruits, particularly Bing Cherries.
