Marchesi di Barolo Barolo Cannubi 1989

A historic winery, born more than 200 years ago, born in the heart of the Langhe and protected by its hills. It was 1807 when the Marquis, Carlo Tancredi Falletti married Juliette Colbert, great-granddaughter of the then finance minister of the French King Louis XIV (also called the Sun King). It was she who believed in the quality of the wine produced in the lands of Barolo, which only after careful fermentation and long aging in wood could this become an austere, long-lasting wine and express all its qualities.

Barolo Cannubi matures 6 years after being harvested and reaches its peak condition between 6 and 25 years of age.

This wine is garnet-red in color with ruby reflections. Its intense nose has distinct traces of roses, vanilla, licorice, spices, toasted oak and a gentle scent of absinth. The flavor is full and elegant, good-bodied and austere with remarkably elegant tannins. The spicy personality and the hints of wood blend perfectly.
