A rather spectacular Bas-Armagnac from indie Italian bottler, the ever wonderful Samaroli. The brandy was produced back in 1964, and was bottled in celebration of Samaroli’s 50th anniversary. Aged in large oak barrels, it was eventually bottled in France in September 2018, with just 204 bottles released. Boasting a delicate golden hue and bucketfuls of delicate fruit, this is quite the stunner.
A delicate bouquet of floral and fruity scents, red fruit, sultanas and dates whipped with vanilla and honey. On the palate, the spirit radiates delicate notes of apricot, quince, green apple laced with honey, dried almonds and a light hint of cinnamon.
