Vino di Contrada Frappato Ventesima Vendemmia Anniversary 2023

This wine marks Arianna Occhipinti’s twentieth harvest and brings together three vineyards that define her journey. Fossa di Lupo, her original site, with brown sandy soils over limestone, lends earthy depth and character. Bombolieri, rooted in white sand and pure limestone, contributes mineral tension and structure. Pettineo, with vines over sixty years old planted in orange sand and tuff, gives the wine its silky tannins and vibrant fruit expression.

Fermentation occurs spontaneously in concrete, with twenty-five days of skin maceration, followed by six months in the same vessel and a further year of aging in Austrian oak.

Bottled unfiltered, this wine is both a synthesis of twenty years of experience and a forward-looking expression of what is yet to come.
