Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC 2020

Pettinella’s latest arrival is an extremely enjoyable wine despite its youth, destined to give its best with the passage of time. Dark ruby red in colour with violet hues, the nose is a succession of aromas: from classic notes of black cherry to Mediterranean scrub, from spices to floral notes passing through those typical of aromatic herbs. The palate is fresh, with persistent tannin and a pleasantly mineral finish. Vinification dentical to that of its ‘brother’ Tauma, but the grapes come exclusively from the Tocco da Casauria vineyard.
Maceration for about 12 days in steel, followed by racking into almost 20-year-old exhausted barriques.
